Donorbox forms can collect donations in several different currencies. By default, it is set to US Dollars ($) until changed.
But there are other countries, besides the US, that also use the word "Dollar" and the $ symbol for their currency. For example, Hong Kong dollar, Australian dollar, New Zealand dollar, etc. This can cause some confusion when a donor from one of these countries donates an amount, assuming it is in their home currency (i.e in their country's "dollar"). The currency exchange rate are different, so they later find that they've donated either more or less than they wanted to.
To fix this problem. you can set your Donorbox forms to explicitly show the currency symbol and code next to the preset amounts, as shown here:
To do this, simply follow these steps:
Log into your Donorbox dashboard and click the "Edit" link, next to your campaign form.
Click on the Amount tab and select the option marked "Show currency code on the amounts", as shown below. Click Save to make the changes go live.
The currency symbol and code for your selected currency will show next to each amount option on your form. To change the actual currency on your form, please follow the instructions here.
